Has to be spontaneous and in the fashion of a lark or boondoggle.

Damn I was going to say the 5yrs of college.
Flying over big water Business Class. Expensive but sure is nice getting to sleep for a few hours with decent food and drinks. Not too sure it is pissing away money, but when that big plane lands you basically have nothing but a rested body to show for a couple three extra grand.
- heliskiing
- shopping on the King’s Road in London while trying to maintain a pace of spending £10 per minute
.
I can’t really enjoy pissing away money.
Backroads trips – worth every freaking penny
.
bought a schoolbus
.
Buying 10 laps at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in a Cayman GTS
.
The craps table.
I went to a wedding in Zion National Park so I flew into Las Vegas and rented a convertible BMW M3 for the 320 miles r/t drive plus all the “fun miles” I put on it whilst out and about outside of the park.
Best money I ever spent. I did that thing where I pulled off the 15, turned off the car, called my then-girlfriend (now wife) from about an hour away (she was already in Zion), put my cell phone underneath the exhaust pipes, then started the car and blipped the throttle a few times to announce what I’d done. She was like, “Oh dear.”
I can’t really enjoy pissing away money.
Okay Eeyore
.
bought a schoolbus
May I ask why?
I can’t really enjoy pissing away money.
Okay Eeyore
What can I say, I work hard for my money.
One thing I would like to do though. There is a company in Vancouver that rents out luxury vehicles. I think you go with them for a day, take out 5 cars like a ferarri, Lambo, porsche etc, with 4 other people and drive the sea to sky highway to Whistler (scenic, twisty road). Have lunch in Whistler and drove back. You get time in each car.
Greg Welch’s bachelor party bus, once it made a stop at the strip bar…A night to remember, now if I only could…
We spontaneously decided to go for a balloon ride in Cappadocia.
It really was magical and well worth the $300 each (about 15 years ago).
Might’ve helped get the missus in the mood, too …

Chartering a small plan to get from San Jose to the Nicoya Pennisula. We missed our outgoing flight for a group tour (another story) so we chartered small plane to catch up sort of. One pilot and two of us. Turbulance pushing us up and down a bit. Felt like Indiana Jones.
Also charity auctions.
Surprised no one has said Amsterdam red light district.
Work (back in 90’s) paid business overseas, went to Australia. Our travel agent called me and asked me if I wanted a 1st class upgrade. Sure why not… Sat next to next door neighbor of the San Diego Padre’s owner and was in his box, right after Rosanne f’d up the national anthem. Interesting chat.
We bought an Audi Turbo 2 seat convertible so we could drive 110 miles an hour on the highway with the top down.
Screw your rules.
It wasn’t spontaneous but I spent a boatload of money on a trip to South Africa and it was awesome.
