The mooch is gone already?

“No WH chaos!” - DJT 7/31/17
.

Does this mean that Spicer is returning? Didn’t DJT just praise him after his resignation?

Wow. Apparently he didn’t see Kelly coming.

If this is truly at Kelly’s insistence, then it may be a good thing, as it could indicate that Kelly is the one to get things under control and install some order in the WH. Chaos in the WH isn’t good the country, and that should be true regardless of how you feel about Trump, Trump policies (whatever they are), and GOP policies (recognizing that those may be in conflict with Trump policies)

Who leaked this?

It came at Kelly’s request.

Or the more cynical observer might argue he was brought in to create a distraction from something else going on…

Why the cynicism? I was expecting a fandango post from you …

Trump really has a thing for generals, so he may actually listen to Kelly on some of this. It would be nice if we could get back to where we were bitching about the president putting his feet on the desk.

But dumping Preibus means there is one less person in his circle that know how the machine operates. Someone has to know how a bill becomes a law and what happens if you threaten Murkowski.

smooth running machine except for the frequent grinding up of staff.

https://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2017/07/31/Reports-Anthony-Scaramucci-fired-as-White-House-communications-chief/4461501526267/

President Donald Trump fired Anthony Scaramucci as his communications director at the request of his new chief of staff, John Kelly, unnamed sources close to the decision said Monday.

If this is true, the White House is now officially dumpster fire, and the dumpster is full of dead fish and angry tomcats with fireworks strapped to their backs.
How can this guy hope to manage and lead America in a complex world when he can’t keep his own house in order?

How much more proof that trump is a dumarse do folks need? At least Kelly, Mattis and McMaster surround numnuts-in-chief. Only reason they are there is they realize what a putz this guy is and love their country.

I have mixed feelings on this. I’d feel a whole lot better about this statement if 35% of the country didn’t continue to support him despite the comically shitty job he’s doing. The point being that there’s some level of crappy job that he needs to do in order to oust him in 4 years. I just don’t know where that limit is, and what the consequences are of dipping below that limit.

Right now it feels like dealing with a drug addict. You hope he cleans up, you want to help, but sometimes letting him hit rock bottom is the only cure, at the risk of death.

…but SNL did not even have a chance to cast someone to portray the Mooch yet!

Continuing our Kelly discussion, I like this guy already. I speculate he asked for this authority to put the “Chief” back in “Chief of Staff” as a pre-condition of employment. Scaramucci could not have existed with a guy like Kelly.

We’re set up for more drama now, though. We need a new DHS head and a new Communications Director. In the Trump administration I think this is called “Monday.”

IIRC, when there were rumors about Sessions being replace, Grassley said “no more confirmations.” Congress doesn’t have time to vet another Secretary, given how much effort they are putting into rearranging health care deck chairs…
