The LA Track Crash pic thread

I tried to find this picture a week or two ago (during the various threads that sprung from the crash at the Track Worlds.) But I wasn’t able to locate it then. I stumbled on it again today, and thought y’all might want to see it. I think this one looks even more painful that the one from the recent threads.

Good thing that’s a Lightweight front wheel!

ouch. the italian is still pedaling…

What Italian?

Styrrell

My concern would be about where that large chainring is going to land once the front wheel drops off the other side…OUCH!

Correct! I think that is I.R. Iran–“Islamic Republic of Iran”

i was thrown by the stripes on the arms and the word ‘italy’ on the down tube. in any case, he’s still pedaling.

**He’s still pedaling. **

If I’m not mistaken, it’s a fixed gear bike – he can’t stop pedaling.

Lee

exactly.

note,

the two guys on their back, stopped pedalling, that is the result of stopping pedalling on the track at 50kph.

That’s not the ADT event center, but it is a good shot!

I dig the two rolled tubies on the French and Aussie bikes.

The Frenchman is now a perfect candidate for the old MTB question, “what do you enjoy more - the moment of realization, or the moment of impact?”

Paul Sherwin would say “Well MItriguy, this Russian rider is about to lose his manhood with that chainring.” Hopefully momentum was on his side and everyone rolled a bit. If not, where was that thread about the Hitachi Massager???
