The fix is in

I’ve been sitting around this week recovering from an MTB crash, missing being on the bike, which quite surprised me as I only got on it (to commute) 4 weeks ago. So, there I was today, reading this board and a couple of Tom D’s bike reviews and then I did it… I signed up for my first tri!

Now before you get all excited, it’s 300m/8/3, but ya gotta start somewhere. 6 weeks to go!

WebSwim - congrats congrats! I think you just did the hardest part.

Hope you have a great time. Tri fever - catch it!

Congratulations on making a choice that will change your life forever! It’s not about the bike, the equipment, the training, the right races, the results… it’s about taking the plunge, coming out and being able to say “Yes, I’m a triathlete” :-)))

That’s awesome WebSwim. Basically, you rule.

… and so it begins.

There’s gonna be a lot of good stories around here come late spring and summer.

Thanks guys! The great thing is that if I enjoy it (and I’m sure I will), the final race in the series is mid-April which I could do as well.

A goal for this year is to do an Oly, so I hope to find one to do at the end of the year. I’m in Oz, so that’s really next season and will give plenty of time for training.
