knock on wood I think the headaches are letting up. They’re at least a bit lower intensity. Thanks for asking.
@GFD how are you?

@GFD how are you?
That is great news!
I am doing fine. Some minor right wrist weakness and pain issues but overall feeling good.
That’s great news. Glad to hear it.
No captain canada training for you. ![]()
I had to look that up even though I had a pretty good idea what I was going to find. ![]()
@Dr_Tigerchik how are you feeling this week?
kinda worn out and depressed. I had a headache start this AM but I think the meds are helping and it’s going away… hope so. How are you?
I am glad the headache is going away and I hope the depression does as well.
I am doing well. I continue to increase my workout intensity and the only issues I am having are my hands and my right wrist. But they aren’t too bad and they aren’t stopping me. So far so good with my neck and elbows. I am hoping to put off my next epidural for as long as possible.
It is really icy and overcast here but the forecast is looking great for the next week.
Sorry to hear that TC. I hope you feel better, soon.
My wife’s recent injection has started to wear off….3 months, much less than the normal 6mo. She’s going back in for an update in the next week or so.
Sounds great!
I just got back from Germany and Rome to find 75* spring weather! It seems like we just had and ice storm that shut down air travel in and out of dfw for 5 days…just a few weeks ago!
I am sorry to hear about your wife’s injection. I have not been able to find any pattern in regards to how long the epidurals work or wear off. I am hoping this time that the shot is lasting longer because I am finally able to strengthen the muscles around my neck.
60’s this weekend and 70 next week. From winter to late spring in a few days. That is PA in March.
what are you doing for workouts, @GFD ?
feeling cheerier today here
I’m sorry your wife’s pain is increasing. Keep us updated.
Glad you are feeling some cheer.
I always start at home with stretching and a spin of 30 minutes or more. If I feel good then I go to the gym. I try for 4 days a week. At the gym I do abs and hip, back, and neck mobility exercises with. 10lb medicine/exercise ball. If I feel good then I do strength training for 1/2 my body on a combination of machines, dumbbells, and the smith machine. I try to end with 20-30 minutes of the stair stepper, elliptical, or a treadmill walk.
After dinner I go in my hot tub and do some form of yoga for 20 minutes or more.
I did this for a few months in the spring and ended up being in so much pain that I stopped everything except spinning for the summer. I started very slowly in the fall and since December have been doing better with a few setbacks. Currently, I am on a streak of no neck and back pain and the last two weeks have the best workouts I have had in over 3 years.

WOOOO!!! I’m so happy for you.
Thank you Allison. You have been a huge help in my recovery.
That’s awesome!
I’m glad to be able to help someone.
