The NFL today sealed the desitiny of the Detroit Lions and all Detroit Lions fans today when It announced the 2014 Superbowl will be played in NY in an outdoor stadium… Expect high’s in the negatives and massive ice storms…
Really its the only fitting way for those of us who have suffered so long to then be rewarded with so much… err so little.

I heard this too. It will also be the first Superbowl where the lowest priced tickets will cost $1500.
I’m trying so hard to not drink the Kool-Aid, but they are making it hard this year. Some very exciting things are afoot in Allen Park this offseason!

The Detroit Lions are going to the Superbowl the same year the Chicago Cubs win the World Series.
Are you kidding? That would be awesome. You figure, they go at least 10-6, 11-5, win a few more playoff games - and then the Super Bowl in approximately 4 years from now. And then 2013 probably would be a really good year, maybe a loss in the NFC Championship game. 2011-2012 would be a least decent. Maybe 2010 is 8-8.
I don’t care if its -40. Its not -40 in my living room, and I can’t imagine that I would pay $4,000-$5,000 for one ticket and a trip to the Super Bowl, whether in New Jersey or Arizona, when I can use take that same amount of money a buy an awesome HDTV and surround system that I can use all the time.
I am getting excited just thinking about it - maybe I need to reinstitute my $10 bet in Las Vegas for the Lions to make the Super Bowl.

maybe next season when the owner’s lock out the player the Lions could use the squad they have now to play the scrubs?
