pity i was a lil overweight then, couldn’t handle it, and made only half the sessions.
Folks who swim 100k weeks are nutters. Nutters with shoulder problems. Nutters with shoulder problems and ear infections. Nutters with shoulder problems and ear infections and chlorine cough…this could expand ad infinitum.
Today my son wanted to go to the pool for public swim, so I managed to knock off 2000m (in the single lane that they put out amidst the frenzy of a zillion kids) . I now need to do 13,000m in Dec given my lame 15K target! Its nice when you set your bar low!
Water slides!!! Awesome! We have two at our outdoor pool, but it closes in the winter. Maine gets cold, you know. They’d be ice slides

they went ok, i did a best time in 200 breast and swam my other events controlled, first meet of the season and my coach and i can now guage how to train for upcoming important meets. One important thing will be gaining weight to have to lose again, im lacking power, i need more upper body strength, time to get back to 205-210lbs. and put the time into the pool again. this is also part of my 20 pound weight GAIN challenge. next events to come up are christmas training camp and thats it.
It’s not until Jan. 14 - but I will swim the 200, 500, and 1650 free… the 500 is the one I’m REALLY focused on. Maybe an IM event or two, and hopefully relays!
Did another 1750 today, so 2950 as of 12/4. The crazy masters program at my gym swims OUTSIDE. It couldn’t have been warmer than 15 degrees out there this morning. Sheesh!
