Dan, if you read this, I would like to thank you for spelling out some of the problems in business today.
I work for a national non-profit trade association whose membership has dropped 50% in the last 5 years. However, the board of directors fails to direct any blame on the CEO, CFO and COO who have remined in their poistions for the better part of 7-10 years.
I wish I could send your article to our board of directors and ask them to plug in “the industry we serve” where the article says “triathlon” or “bike manufacturers”.
It angers me that the board has this love-fest with the big 3 as the association continues to sink. Unfortunately, this is the model too many businesses are falling prey to these days. Thanks.
