The coming storm

So, Armstrong is hurt. That is bad luck.

Maybe.

If you look back on Armstrong’s career and examine his motives, his drive, the things that make him reach deep into his vast “suitcase of courage” then it is when he is on the mat that he is at his angry best.

Say he can’t win. He does.

He gets cancer and lives. He wins.

Record number of tour wins? No problem. How about two *more. *

Drug allegations? No sweat, how about more wins.
**
Divorce? Got it. Win the Tour de France. Again.

Broken collar bone? Hmmm. If I were the other guys I’d be concerned. It’s like holding a snake by the tail. Sooner or later the head comes around to bite you.

How 'bout too old to win Ironman Hawaii? He still could.

sounds to me like a perfect chance to loose weight and bump up FTP. Very easy to climb seated one armed at low speeds and/or sit on the aerobars w/ one arm in a sling on the trainer. I speak from experience.

Also from experience… there is nothing like a significant emotional event to trigger some severe depression and worry… a great catalyst for losing weight.

Go Lance! Let’s hope whatever starlet he’s dating dumps him horribly and somebody insults his Mom… number 8 will be a cinch.

my guess is even though he is supposed to wait several days he will be on the trainer by tomorrow, not sure if he will be game ready for the Giro but come July unless they add a swim or push up competition to one of the stages my guess is he will be dangerous…

I agree. Lance can easly be on a trainer and pedal sitting up right without resting his arms on the handle bars.
