Fitness guru John Basedow’s 60-second snake oil ads during the Tour are forcing me to watch OLN’s live coverage 2 hours after the broadcast begins. If there was ever a case to buy a digital video recorder, it’s this liposuctioned elf with the head of Tony Robbins who interferes with the greatest sports event on the planet every 10 minutes.
Get on Ebay and get one of the older versions of ReplayTV that skips the commercials automatically (what I have). Otherwise you will wear out a remote every 6 months using fast forward all the time. I’ve watched every day of coverage virtually in its entirety and I have no idea what ad you are talking about
$80 for the recorder and $5/month for the service from directtv. I got it the second day of the tour and it’s the best entertainment investment I’ve made in a long, long time.
DVR/Tivos and Broadband connections - to things that once you use them you’ll never want to be without again… we moved a couple months ago and the cable provider (charter) didn’t have DVR service yet. It was like living in a house without running water. Kids kept yelling can you pause it!!! We swapped over to SAT TV and all was right in the world again.
liposuctioned elf with the head of Tony Robbins - LOL that description is going to cause me to shoot coffee out my nose everty time I see that add again… My wife can’t get past the fact that homie’s Pecs are like twice the size of his head
TIVO = DVR ( digital video recorder ) . Our unit records live TV ( one hour back ) ALL THE TIME ITS ON ,so you can back up to climbs / watch attacks , without ever recording anything, I think that is standard on all units. It can record two channels at once.
You can watch a 1 hour show in under 40 minutes or less , jump ahead to end quickly. It seems like another hi-tech piece of junk, till you use it and wonder how you lived without it.
Ours holds about 30 hours ,on the hard drive. Its a small unit.
Anything not to see Bob Roll Naked on the Bike , BERRRRRRR AHH
