I luv bikes, but I like cars too.
Not SUV’s, not station wagons, I’m talking cars.
Maybe I’m just too young, or maybe it’s my racing background, but I’m not really into luxery cars. I like cars with some horsepower, and some style.
My current dream car has to be the Cadillac Cien Concept. Gotta love American made.
Though, right now, the Lotus Esprit is tickling my fancy for a car I may actually be able to afford in 10-12 years.
Right now, I’m driving a Jeep Liberty. I really like it, except for the mileage (but it’s better than most SUVs).
The best car I ever had was a Toyota Previa. Most practical and reliable vehicle ever, it had a pop up sun roof and a huge sliding sunroof over the back, middle captain’s chairs and fold up rear seats.
Dream car - I’d keep the Jeep or a Nissan Quest for hauling stuff and tool around in a Lexus convertible.
Although recently, I saw a restored late 50’s/early 60’s Porsche -VERY cool.
Dream car - certainly not American that is for sure…I am leaning HARD on a Mercedes SL65 AMG now…more power than about anything…now if AMG would only take off that damn 155mph limiter on the US cars.
this is not an environmentally friendly car by any means, but i’d love to have a '66 or’68 442 convertible cutlass. hot cars indeed. maybe sky blue with white leather interior.
now if AMG would only take off that damn 155mph limiter on the US cars.
That limiter (250kmh) is stock on all cars from Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc… even in Germany. You should be able to get an aftermarket chip upgrade to remove the limiter. Although even in Germany there aren’t too many stretches of autobahn where you can get up to those speeds anymore. There is simply too much traffic unless you get out at 4:00AM on a Sunday.
1965 Pontiac GTO, red, 389 tri-power motor, redline tires, black interior. Dad had one when I was born. They had to sell it shortly after. I have a picture of me in the driver’s seat.
For sentimental reasons…THATs the car I dream of.
If it were purely to feed my man-genes…I’d go with the McClaren F-1. Nothing else, not even the Enzo, comes close.
Gary, I’m curious about the H3. My friend is starting to look and we were talking about this last night. He has a Grand Cherokee right now, it’s getting up there in miles. The H2, despite it’s size, doesn’t appear to have an interior much bigger than my Liberty. We saw an ad for the H3 and it looks like it might be worth considering.
The H3 is a bit smaller than my Xterra, inside, but as big or bigger than the BMW X5 or Lexus RX I tested.
It is all hard plastic and the rear seats fold down, … take off the front wheel and you can stuff a bike and gear inside, put a couple trays on top for hauling 3+ riders/bikes.
With the 33" tires, you can roll over a 16" vertical surface! With an extended wait (special order) you can get it built with leather, sunroof, XM, 6cd monsoon, etc, plus the offroad suspension for offroading.
