The Cain daily gaffe - Wisconsin interview

And I’m not talking abut all the stupid stuff he said about Lybia. His gem today is about how he backs collective bargaining for public unions in Wisconsin. On an interview in Wisconsin. Wahahahaha.

***The Journal Sentinel’s own account of their interview led with Cain’s comment on collective bargaining rights for public employees, a matter which dominated state politics under the new administration of Gov. ***Scott Walker. The paper’s headline online: “Cain backs collective bargaining for public employees.”

The story quotes Cain as explaining that a similar effort to curb unions’ bargaining power in Ohio was rejected by voters because, “maybe they tried to get too much and as a result it failed.” Cain also “appeared to be unclear on the issue of collective bargaining as it involves federal employees.”

I almost don’t miss Sarah Palin. Who’d’ve guessed a pizza man would step in and fill those giant shoes?

On the issue of collective bargaining, Cain said he supported the right of public employees to bargain collectively.

“But not collective hijacking. What I mean by that, if they have gotten so much for so many years and it’s going to bankrupt the state, I don’t think that’s good. It appears that in some instances, they really don’t care.”

Asked about last week’s vote in Ohio, in which the state’s new collective bargaining law was rejected by voters, Cain said that “maybe they tried to get too much and as a result it failed.”

Cain also said in the interview that he would support collective bargaining for federal employees. In fact, he seemed to believe they currently enjoy those rights, the Journal Sentinel reported. “Asked if he thought federal employees should have the ability to bargain collectively, Cain said: ‘They already have it, don’t they?’”

He is the best the GOP has to offer. Hilarious.

Kinda reminds me of George Jefferson…moovin on up…

I keep waiting for Ashton Kucher to pop out during one of his press events to tell us how we’ve all been punked. We should have suspected something was amiss after he quoted Pokemon during the debate.

Remember that according to Cain he doesn’t have to know much because he is going to surround himself with people that know everything. Since he doesn’t know much, the decisions will come easily for him…

The strategy worked for W.

Are you forgetting the current President with basically zero expereince? It seemed to work for him as well. Sadly though his “I know nothing advisors” are radicals for the most part pushing a radical agenda.

He ran on hope in general, not hope his advisors would act for him though:)

Too funny. Watching the Liberal Brain trust laugh.

Now if only they weren’t led by a guy who can’t put a thought string together without a teleprompter, and his sidekick who can’t read a teleprompter so he just hops around because he has one foot in his mouth.

If only the GOP could put together a team as smart as Obama / Biden.

don’t you get it? this isn’t a referendum on obama, for christ’s sake. and his competence has no bearing on whether or not any particular candidate is him- or herself qualified to be a good president. it’s arguably the most powerful post in the world. do you think that bachman or cain or santorum or etc are truly the best america has to offer?

Actually it is a referendum on Obama since he and his people are the main antagonist drving this country toward the cliff at an even faster rate than other politicians have managed.

Where does it say politicians are the best we have to offer?

Why is the GOP against business? all serious executives use teleprompters for their speeches and presentations. if using a teleprompter is your insult against Obama, then pubs are bigger idiots han they look.

It’s not a referendum on Obama until AFTER the primary. Until then, it’s a shoot out amongst the best the GOP has to offer its voters.

Do you really want Cain in charge? Not only does he not know the president of Ubeki beki beki stan stan he has to go out of his way to insult them. He has no clue what is going on in the world but feels sure that Obama is doing it wrong. Probably can’t find Canada or Mexico on a map of North America.

Whether or not you like Obama, there is no way you can have doofs like this and Perry in charge.

This was the best! ha! but you mean, those giant pumps from Nordstrum! He is just so entertaining, but on a scary level, as he is gaining popularity.
But a President Newt Gingrich? That sounds like a Dr Seuss character.
Pretty much all the GOP candidates are hilarious.

If Cain should win, I am going to call 212-456-1414 (White House phone number) and ask for a double cheese pepperoni. Every day.

He is the best the GOP has to offer. Hilarious.

The GOP has better, but they try their hardest to get rid of them. For example, Gary Johnson.

If we lived in an ideal world, the GOP would be supporting Hunstman as their centrist candidate, Gary Johnson as their Liberal Left Candidate, and Ron Paul as their Religious Right candidate. But alas, none of those guys would make for a good reality show on cable TV, so they stick with the people that can compete with the Kardashians and Jersey Shore folks.

Wow, just wow. First, I find it scary that Cain ever made it this far! I remember hearing clips of him months ago and not knowing who he was but thinking “This guy is a crackpot.” To think months later he would become a frontrunner is truly scary. I think it is amusing to hear of the GOP fear mongering that Obama is driving the country to the edge of socialism and trying to kill the economy while for the past few years the GOP has contributed nothing but indiscriminately rejecting anything that came from Obama with the mindset of defeating him in 2012. It is pretty smart, if you do nothing you, then you can’t be blamed for the mess even if your part of the reason it has continued to be a mess. Then the best they can to the table is the poster children and contributors to the Faux News Team: Cain, Bachmann, for awhile it looked like Palin, Newt Gingrich, and Perry.
For what it is worth, I voted for McCain and have voted Republican as many times as I have Democrat, but the GOP is should be ashamed of the direction they have taken. I take issue with those saying Obama has driven the US towards socialism—that is very grandiose. Obama hasn’t taken the country in any direction, he has been like having a lame duck president for four years. I consider myself liberal but I would vote for anyone that I thought had the best plan for taking the country in the right direction—too bad both sides aren’t able to come up with anything worthwhile.

I can only imagine what’s going on in Jon Huntsman’s head right now, trailing this charlatan by >20%.
