The best Tri/TT bike everyone DOESN'T have

So i ve been looking for a frame as i have been riding my black and yellow argon 18 mercury for the past year and am looking to upgrade to full carbon. Well without doubt ive been looking at the p2c / p3c family but eveyone in t1 is going to have this bike.Sometimes you wanna be original…a little different. OF COURSE, i coulf paint it but meh, not for me…

So my question as in the header, what is the best, most aerodynamicull carbon, fastest frame everyone DOESN’T have??

“fastest frame everyone DOESN’T have??”

The Cervelo P3C, hands down. I’ve seen people with other brands, and I’m surprised at just how many people would decide to be slower than they have to be.

;^)

HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF TRIATHLETES / DUATHLETES / TT er’s …ALL RIDE A P3C

i want to ride something that people know less about, That i wont see 20 of sitting on the racks, that is less frequent to see but is still a proven ride…

Is there such a bike ??

what is the best, most aerodynamicull carbon, fastest frame everyone DOESN’T have??

That would be the Cervelo P4

Ditto.

What’s also amazing … people are willing to pay more to be slower, but “different.” Sheesh.

Would it be? well at the moment yes i would have to agree…but in the very near future it wont be, a year at the max…Why d you think the very few p3c’s on ebay are there…well because someone was good for xmas and got a p4c in their futures

The old Zipp 2001 frames…if you search the forum long enough you can infer from various comparative tests that it’s faster than the P3C (but not the P4). Plus, it looks funky.

I heard about those…are they race legal?

yes, unless you want to race in USCF national cycling championships or ITU races.

They are hard to find, and hard(er) to work on than most bikes. Namely the rear brake, which must be a center-pull (or a weirdly routed oval brake).

Someone has to fill out the M and B OP.

Look, parlee or storck.

Yes because not riding a Cervelo will keep you at the back of the pack. :-p

Hello Cain2589 and All,

Some winners posted here on a ‘different’ bike:

I always had a top 8 bike split n my races and 2 top 3 splits on my argon 18 mercury…not to mention, that all but one of those races were on shimano 550s

i raced an '06 mercury the last two years and just got a sweet new e112. did the Hg not fiy u or why change? I havent raced the e112 yet but my splits in every A race on that Hg were pro level…>25 olympic, >24HIM…do all y’alls p3c’s make that happen or does it maybe have alittle more to do with the biker than the bike?..if you want to stand out AND have a fast bike stay with argon18 and go full carbon e112 or e114…if you ride it enough a new schwinn will outsplit every MOP AGer on a p3c.
PS: Since I’m gonna boast my bike splits fair to say I cant run sub 7 in HIM or swim sub 1:30pace , just stronger than most humans on a bike

I agree …the argon 18 series is really well…all my splits were around the 38km/h range with one 40+ km/h split…Only reason i wanna change is for the full carbon feel…I love it…and i would do the e 112 oe e 114 but there is NO WAY to find one of them for they are brand new… around 1400 or so used since they are new…I bought my mercury used after it had been in a bit of trouble for $900CDN and spent 300 on wheels…BEST 1200 I EVER SPENT…a risk well taken…

you may be able to get e112 '08 frame NOS and build it with your Hg parts…just cant get much on ebay for ur Hg at that point…check sunrisecyclery.com
.

thanks…but i am i pretty low budget university student so used is best
.

been there! Good luck in ur search, worst case scenario you’ll keep hammerin out top 10 splits on that Hg. I have a pretty serious back injury that may require surgery (fusion…yikes) I go back to the neurosurgeon 2/9 for yet another opinion/ surgical consult. If I wont be able to race for a year or more I’ll give you a shout. I got my e112 directly from argon18 @ cost and will do you a favor if I cant use it, dont get your hopes up, its not what I want…but having been a hard training student on aluminum for my fair term, I’ll let u know if I’m goin under the knife…actually if you want to contact me post 2/9 thats cool too.

Wow…thats very considerate of you…Of cours i hope you dont go under the knife and something tells me i will forget about asking but thanks for the help…Wish you al the best with the back and hope you can still race, cuz racing is living
