TIL: monkeys can’t do pull-ups, but apes can, because of the way monkeys’ shoulders are built
I am usually drawn like a moth to flame to these pointless and self flagellatory fitness challenges, but this year the thought of adding one more stupid thing to my daily to-do list makes me want to vomit.
Been there, puked all over that.
(See initial comment about being drawn to self flagellatory fitness challenges).
Body weight squats:: 100
Abs/core reps: 100
Pretty sure I saw these at zero an hour or 2 ago. Don’t overdo it the first day.
Plus you’re making everyone else look lazy.
Does it have to be 100 reps of the same thing every day or can you move onto something else once you’ve gotten too good at it?

They’re doing that all by themselves.

I typically do these anywhere from 1-4x per week, not always in the same day, just looking for more consistency and discipline. They get easier quickly.
Days getting up at an absurd hour to take the puppy out.
Day 1 - yes
Day 2 - no. Wife jumped on the landmine.
Days feeling sleep deprived

When I completed the 100 push-ups program, I kept it up for a good while, then slipped off
If 100 gets too “easy” you, maybe you can add onto it, with 100 being the minimum?
Or see how long you can maintain a streak?
It’s all up to you. Make your own rules; “choose your own adventure” as people say
You don’t even need to tell anyone about it - it’s none our OUR business, anyway
Like having a baby.
Until D’Kid was born, I would’ve NEVER considered getting up at 5AM to go running outside in the middle of Winter
But that was “what is required”

I was going to use the word ‘awesome’ instead of ‘good’.
It’s been a long time since I tried push ups. Gravity usually won in the past and that damn floor just kept coming up and hitting me in the nose.

target 300 of the next 364 days
That’s pretty close to 6 days out of 7, which is pretty reasonable and attainable, depending on what the baseline “100” is AND you can take a day off, OR roll on through
