CONSISTENCY. Train swim, bike, run all the time, never stop, week in and week out.
no, no, no. This canāt be it. There must be an easier way.
Next youāll tell me that actually LIKING swimming, cycling, running, or other aerobic activities is helpful.
or how about training more??
Not for STāers. EVERY-ONE here already trains way to much if you read their weekly mileage/hours posts.
Its all about RESTING more.
What is this ārestingā you speak of?
What is this ārestingā you speak of?
My definition: Sitting in my favorite chair, Wild Turkey in one hand, bag of chips in the other and the yankee game on. I love the rest day.
Well here is a shocker. The best advice every received from my training mentor was go faster! Wow. Really, what a concept. And, guess what? It works. Train high intensity, speed work once per week in all three events for at least 40-45 weeks per year.
Wow, the simple answers are usually the best

nonsense. That is referred to as āI should be training butā¦ā.
Thank goodness Iām poor, all Iāve got is training.
This is profound and highly quotable. I am digging the simplicity of the statement.
Well, I dug it up finally: http://tri-talk.com/weblog/?m=200702
Turns out it was exactly the same content as deej had originally posted (about 7 seconds after I asked the question), just organized differently (Iām easily confused).
Now that Iāve re-read it, it does sound very āmarketing-drivenā, despite the disclaimer at the top of the article.
So the next question is, if you donāt believe the list, what are YOUR top 5 (or 10 or 20) triathlon investments, arranged in order of dollar per time saved?
wheres is canadians masturbation post?
I dont know if you have listened to tri talk much. But I was a very loyal follower of this pod cast. I wish it would return. David Wardern had over 15,000 listeners at one point. His Top 20 was may not agree with you but they were un biased. You only need to listen to what he said about altitude training to see that he did not give a rats behind about sponsors. Besides, there were no sponsors of his show that sold creatine (He later said that he changed his mind about creatine based on studies showing it did not work for long distance athletes. I dont care if you agree with his post of top 20 but just know that TRI TALK did not get that big because of being swayed by marketing. He had really good stuff in here and every finding he showed was a result of studies or metastudiesā¦Like quite a few others, I wait for the day that he will return to PODCASTING. It was one of the best around. I emailed him and asked why he stopped. He puts so many hours into each one that he simply doesnt have time. . There was no subscription fee and only he only did it because he liked it.
