That ABC Interview

I shouldn’t be surprised that he takes it lower than I thought possible, yet I continue to be surprised how low a bar he sets.

“I think you might want to listen, there isn’t anything wrong with listening,” Trump continued. “If somebody called from a country, Norway, ‘we have information on your opponent’ – oh, I think I’d want to hear it.”

“It’s not an interference, they have information – I think I’d take it,” Trump said. “If I thought there was something wrong, I’d go maybe to the FBI – if I thought there was something wrong. But when somebody comes up with oppo research, right, they come up with oppo research, ‘oh let’s call the FBI.’ The FBI doesn’t have enough agents to take care of it. When you go and talk, honestly, to congressman, they all do it, they always have, and that’s the way it is. It’s called oppo research.”

“I’ll tell you what, I’ve seen a lot of things over my life. I don’t think in my whole life I’ve ever called the FBI. In my whole life. You don’t call the FBI. You throw somebody out of your office, you do whatever you do,” Trump continued. “Oh, give me a break – life doesn’t work that way.”

“The FBI director said that is what should happen,” Stephanopoulos replied, referring to comments FBI Director Christopher Wray made during congressional testimony last month, when he told lawmakers “the FBI would want to know about” any foreign election meddling.
But on Wednesday, the president refuted Wray’s sentiment.
“The FBI director is wrong, because frankly it doesn’t happen like that in life,” Trump said. “Now maybe it will start happening, maybe today you’d think differently.”

What a traitorous POS we have as a President. How anyone could still support the lying, grifting, criminal con man is mind boggling. The GOP congress are cowards for letting this continue. If this were Obama they would have him in Leavenworth.

Yes, totally the same thing, the president saying you don’t need to go to the FBI is same thing as Clinton getting information and checks notes turning it over to the FBI.

Thanks for being the first “But Hillary” ball washer to check in. “Lock Her Up” and all of that. It is good that you are consuming your most recent installment of anti Hillary publishing from Fox. Yep, she sucks.

Does that excuse it from Trump?

Those damn Norwegian spy agencies and their incessant gathering of Kompromat on US political and business leaders so they can further their own imperial ambitions.

Plus, how would you know they are really from Norway and not lying? Why would you expect them to be honest when asking to commit a crime?

I know we know that he just constantly lies, but trump has called the FBI before.

Combine this quote from the ABC interview…

“I’ll tell you what, I’ve seen a lot of things over my life. I don’t think in my whole life I’ve ever called the FBI. In my whole life. You don’t call the FBI. You throw somebody out of your office, you do whatever you do,” Trump continued. “Oh, give me a break – life doesn’t work that way.”

with this one from an old NY Magazine interview

““I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it – Jeffrey enjoys his social life.””

Did Trump know Epstein was screwing teenage girls and not report it?

Trump’s dude Santorum apparently understands him far better than any of us plebs. Trump was just misunderstood: “He has, sort of - as we all do, filler words that don’t mean what they say, like ‘I think’.”

He’s right, I truly don’t understand what he thinks. Ergo, I can’t understand what he says…or do I have that backwards…damn, I’m lost again.

No Colusion!

Trump’s a lying sack of bullshit. Impeach him and let the country move on.

However, you are fooling yourself if you think that just about any other candidate running for president wouldn’t jump at the chance to obtain harmful information regardless of who it came from. Hillary and the Clinton Foundation show that they’re all about money and power, ethics be damned. Didn’t Biden use his influence to get some big contract for his son? If you want to know who would take information from any source - just look at a majority of those in federal office.

To be clear. I think that all of them - Republicans and Democrats would do it. I’ve been so disappointed by trusting and hoping that politicians would do what’s right - that I don’t trust any of them anymore. Actually, that’s not true. I trust them to do what is in their best interest before anything else.

I know someone who used to be a lobbyist in Florida, and he told me this joke. “Do you know the difference between a catfish and a politician? Answer, one’s a bottoms dwelling scum-sucker and the other can be found in rivers and lakes.”

Have you ever heard a politician say? “This is going to destroy my hopes to get reelected, but I have to go with my conscious and vote this way”. It simply doesn’t happen.

Yes, that dastardly Clinton foundation spending all that money checks notes saving lives and make no money for themselves. I mean how else would a beloved former president of the united states get any power?

Also, that Biden story is just bullshit pedaled by Rudolph Giuliani, which is nice that he is so concerned with children of political figures, why is he so quite on the trumps?

it’s facepalming to see republicans lay in the gutter and slime themselves over this. for about two decades i wondered if there’s something wrong with me; if somehow i didn’t understand; how i could harbor the profound discomfort about the root motivations of a party representing half the country. one the one hand it’s sad and inexplicable; on the other it’s at least comforting that my instincts were sound.

Don’t fool yourself by thinking that one party is moral while the other is not. If Hillary had been elected and something similar was discovered - things would be reversed completely. Don’t play the tribalism game.

the FEC chair explained how spectacularly wrong trump is, not just in his understanding, but in his fundamental approach to patriotism, legality, instincts. elaine chao sets a new standard for corruption even for this administration. US office of special counsel recommends kellyanne be fired for repeated and known violations of the hatch act. and of course the administration rejects that. and this was all today. not yesterday and lord only knows about tomorrow. and i’m not listing all the corruption that made headlines today.

normal people expected this. predicted this. it’s probably is worse yet, and we just don’t know it all. what’s dumbfounding is the response; just how breathtakingly ill-equipped and badly constructed a third of our population turns out to be.

Did Trump know Epstein was screwing teenage girls and not report it?

I wish the truth about this could be known and shown, but I’d bet every spare $ I have that Trump knew that Trump was screwing a 13 year old girl.

Trump has faced 3 credible accusations of rape, including the child that Epstein served up to him. The facts around this are pretty f’ing disturbing.

He has additionally faced at least 13 accusations of sexual assault or sexual harassment. It is possible that, as Trump says, they are all lying and he, for once, is telling the truth. Again, though, I’d back his accusers and accept short odds.

Heard this today…

What’s worse than Trump lying? Trump telling the truth.

Can’t be worse because its never happened.

Ah, so he would turn over foreign info on his opponents to the FBI?
