Cool pix. Thanks. The roads look kinda funky there in TX; almost like gravel. How do they ride?

And here I thought you were supposed to draft in a straight line. You learn something new every day.

great pictures…especially the leaves changing colors. I didn’t expect that from Texas (never been).

The roads can be a little rough at times but you dont really notice or you get easily used to it. There are always smooth lanes from car tires that are quite smooth.

True, the leaves looked gorgeous that day. The vivid colors surprised me too as I am new to TX.

There is virtually no traffic so we rode kinda chaotic at times but people get in a pace line in more open areas. You better be self-sufficient for 80 miles as there is no place to buy anything. But we had a support vehicle this time.

I’m envious. What an absolutely beautiful day for a ride on some fine Texas chip & seal roads. I rode with a friend Thanksgiving morning for a 30 mile ride. It was 28 degrees with heavy fog when we took off. At the finish we were soaked from the fog and our hands & feet were frozen. Yep, I’m jealous!

WOW, looks beautiful, thanks for sharing. Mapquest couldn’t find Grandbury, how far south of Ft Worth are you riding?

Bill, it is about 40 min SW of Fort Worth. It is spelled Granbury, I did not spell it right. Try mapquest again, you will find it now. mik

Great pics I spent 6 years in Ft Worth by TCU and I miss it everyday I am back in the Midwest!!
Looks great wish I was there!!!

Great pics. I think that it’s funny that you guys wear long sleeves when it’s 72 outside.
I won’t see 72 unit may probably.

Tell the girl in the dark braided hair that she would have more fun riding in Cali. SAnta Clarita to be exact. Even though she would probably drop me the view wouldn’t be too bad for a couple meters…

I thought you were part of the Phoenix crew…maybe I thought wrong. Glyn and I were always looking for people to ride with in Santa Clarita. Joined the SC Velo team for a bit, but wasnt our cup of tea. Now we live in Santa Barbara most of the time although, we still have a small place in SC since Glyn works down there 4 days a week. But you are right, I was one of the only women riders down there…come to Santa Barbara and that is a different story. Good luck finding chics that ride down there!

zippy007 looks like an awesome place to ride. Very nice and I’ll take 72F in November anyday!

I used to be in PHX but moved here in July. Let me know if you need anyone to ride with here or I can probably be talked into driving to Santa Barbara for a long ride with beers afterward!!! No chicks period in Santa Clarita, let alone riding ones!
