Thanksgiving day workout

I’m planning a 4K ocean swim and a 5 mile run…then a lot of eating and drinking!

I plan to do a long run (normal thursday run), and then a MTB ride as I have the entire morning free. The afternoon is social time as we are hosting a t-day dinner this year, so I am trying to fight off as many cooking duties as possible so I can watch football.

short indoor combo: 1500 y swim, 18-20 m bike, and 4-5 m run.

the gravy goes down better that way.

2 hour fixed gear ride followed by weights/strength
.

both: a 5K race in the morning on Thursday then a long ride on Friday to burn off the turkey
.

10k Turkey Trot…probably in the rain.

In Madison, our third annual Berbee Derby “Like a Thanksgiving Day Parade, only faster.” Organizers expect about 2,500 participants for the 10k and 5k walk/run. It’s like a big post-season reunion for the local runners/triathletes.

The first two years the weather was bitterly cold and windy, but this year’s forecast is for mild weather. (above 50 degrees)

A 15K Turkey Trot. The starting line is 200 yards from my front door, so I can’t very well miss the race! I’m using it as a warm-up for the Tucson Marathon on Dec. 10.

5K run in Franklin, TN
.

I’ll be doing a 4-Mile Turkey Trot in Huntington, Long Island. I’ll be sandwiching that in between an approximately 2-1/2 mile warm-up and mile and a half-cool down.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

10k Turkey Trot on Hilton Head Island, SC. If I can average 6:00 or faster pace, I’ll be pretty excited and eat a lot of food and drink a lot of drinks. If I go slower, I’ll be less excited but still eat and drink just as much.

5K Turkey Trot. Its supposed to be absolutely beautiful here on Thanksgiving! Again.

Anyone else ride the indoor traininer while watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? Although this year it might be unseasonably warm and so I might make it outside for a ride.

5K Turkey Trot – Mpls, MN
.

4 mile Turkey Trot - Memphis, Tn.

Thursdays are always my rest days. I’ll have to wait until Friday to burn off the dinner pounds!

As many ski runs as is humanly possible before the feast.

1 mile run to the gym, 5k turkey trot, ~2500m swim, 1 mile run home.

The 8k Turkey Trot here in town - my wife’s favorite race since a friend of ours puts on his turkey costume every year and then lifting a 10 pound bird into a deep fryer in the afternoon - followed by multiple repititions of 12 oz. Sammy’s

surfing in 50 degree water. east coast rocks!
