Thanks to thosse who helped me

On a whim, I entered the Solana Beach sprint triathlon, I fugured it would be a good anerobic workout. Well that all went to pot as I was blasting down the PCH @ 27 mph and a dude from the Northbound lane crashed and slid right into my path. Needless to say I nailed this bike in full aero mode. Next thing I remember I’m splayed out in the middile of the road. Just wanted to say thanks to the two runners who got me past my initial delerium and helped me to the side until the ambulance arrived.

After a long ER stay I’m lucky with just badly sprained neck and shoulder (possible separation) and the usual skin removal. I really appreciated the help and the two who sacrificed their run times to help me. That’s what the spirit is all about! And if you’re reading this thank you so much for the assistance.

I will be scouring the classifieds for a new 404 wheel as it was cracking in 1/2.

Cheers!

glad you are not hurt worse.

Damn! Glad you’re able to type! I did that race in '05 and it was the tightest bike course I’ve ever ridden in a tri to this day. Scary!

Must have been a busy day in the ER yesterday. I had a popping/grinding feeling in my neck/chest all night so I went to my regular doctor. Final diagnosis, broken finger, broken clavicle and two broken ribs. Kinda puts a damper on my Superfrog goals. Oh well, could have been much much worse, when you land on your head/neck @ 26 MPH anything could have happened.

Damn! You’re out for at least 8 weeks, but hey, you’re alive and typing, so thank GOD for that!
