I posted about raising my aero bars this week when all the spacers were in. I got ideas, suggestions. One of you had a very expensive Look Ergo Stem that you sold me at less than half cost (at least I think he sold it to me, I sent cash and will have to wait a few days to see!). Gerard said Syntace Risers would work. Tri-Sports got them out to me overnight, in time for (a) my bike fit today, (b) a Century ride tomorrow and (c) continued training for IMFL. I’ll hold the Look Ergo in reserve for the moment.
Got the package yesterday with the FedEx stuff and $$. I’m headed to the storage unit to get the stem and I’ll mail it out today!! : ) I had to ride first!! : )
I think in general you will find that Slowtwitchers are a respectful, helpful and supportive group of friends in a great web community.
The sociology of our virtual community is fascinating, and the ethics that have developed on this forum and the respuctful manner with which we almost always interact is really nice.
That’s why I get so disappointed when people start throughing around bigoted, ill-informed generalizatons such as “elitist”. They are every bit as offensive and ignorant as slures on a racial, ethnic or religious basis.
