Thanks Powercranks for helping me get a QT for Boston

Even though I do many different things in my training, I do believe the use of powercranks on my indoor bike trainer as helped me obtain my QT for Boston.
Could never “prove” this, but just seems logical.

What I still love about triathlon is the ability to do complete overall body exercise. Hopefully this will keep my injuries down.

Do you mind telling what your routine with the PC’s was? I’m waiting for mine to be installed.
Thanks!

Nothing fancy. I have just worked so I can do an hour solid around 3 days a week. I just this as one of the many pieces of training, but I do believe it is a piece that
has helped me get faster.

really not that hard to install! all you need is a 10 mm hex, and an adjustable wrench, i switch cranks pretty frequently (including the bottom brackets) and it takes 15 min max…
my routine, just bike with them… i started with 15’ on a trainer the first day, 30’ outside the next, and built up to 90’ outside that weekend… now that its offseason i’m doing all my bike workouts on them… intervals and distance… in season i only did my easy rides on them, all “workouts” were on normal cranks…

Did you do higher cadence stuff or just ride? Power-based trainer?

Thanks,

Dave

What I do is not very scientific. I again have tried to take inputs from folks on ST. So, I use my CT in manual ergo coaching sw mode only. I have it start out at 200 watts, and have my cadence set point at 90 rpm. So, I try to keep the RPMS around 80 to 90, and I then increase the wattage, usually now to 240 since I am not trying to kill myself to bad as I watch a DVD for an hour.

It seems much hader for me.

It seems I need a square hex to get my bb (?) off. I have a campy record set.

I need a wrench?
