So I couldn’t get the hang of my new tri bike to save my life…literally! Fell in my own driveway and set my run training back about 2 weeks! Then my Dad crashed on it breaking his scapula clear across and tearing open his forehead about 2inches! We call it the Death Trap now. So I had to take it back to Bikesport and hope they could help me out. Did they ever! Tom actually put baby pedals on for me so I could get used to the cockpit first. Then they adjusted the aero bars for me because they were too long. THEN, he spent an hour with me in a trainer clipping in and out of my pedals till I felt more comfortable. To top it off, he helped me adjust my helmet so it stays on better! I spend most of my days hearing all the bad things that happen anymore around us. I would like to testify that there are still some good people out there willing to help those of us who need to take baby steps!! BTW, I spent the last hour riding around my sub, stopping at every corner and clipping in and out. I think I got it, Tom!! Thank you so much to all the wonderful people at Bikesport!!

you know the ST rule: pics or it didn’t happen. just kidding. it’s great to hear about a positive customer service experience. i’m guessing that’s why so much of BSM’s business is repeat business.
Lake Placid Ironman is on Sunday. You will not have much time when registration opens Monday morning. Make sure you are logged into Active.com so that you will get your slot…
Post of the day! I spit water all over my screen.
I don’t get it.
Did you buy the bike online or did you buy it personally from a shop?
Nice Amstel.
I don’t get it.
I think steve was being sardonic… Chances are if your not in Placid the day after the race to register for 2008, it’s going to be a slim to none chance of getting in on active.com.
or he could have meant that she just learned how to ride in the aero position it must be time for an IM.
Bingo
.
I bought it from the Bikesport Shop. They were very helpful. As far as Lake Placid goes, HIM Steelhead is where I’m headed. So maybe IM next year?!
I have to second your thoughts about the store. I just went in yesterday for my final fit and to pick up my bike.
I am completely new to the sport. Tom (and a younger associate there named John) was patient and took the time to explain everything to me. He went to the trouble of explaining the most basic things, knowing that I was probably too ignorant to even ask the right questions. John even showed me the proper way to place the bike in my truck.
Additionally, I think I got a pretty damn good deal on my bike and was pleased with the process.
The experience was great.
Your seat is too high.
