Heather Gollnick spoke to about 100+ Chicago Tri Club members at our season kickoff party this last Saturday evening. I would like to thank her for her time. She spoke to the group, gave away some Timex shwag. She hanged around for at least three ours eating with us and talking.
As an athlete I believe Heather’s performances speak for themselves, but I am really impressed but her personality. She spoke of her falters as much as her accomplishments. She really seems to be able to put the sport into balance with her life and it is easy to see her dedication to her family as well as her love for triathlon.
She is a great symbol for the sport and a true inspiration. It is nice to see such a nice, happy woman be so successful. And her smile is infectous.
