I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for all of their posts. Since I have found this board mid last year I can’t tell you how many great ideals I have received either directly or indirectly from many of you. This is what I have learned so far:
A) Tom Demerly/Cervelo Guy know their stuff.
B) Santini Bib Twist Gels 2005 are absolutely awesome. I am telling you these are worth the money. No one in central ohio carried the Santini line so I bought them from bicyclinghub.com (Doug). One of the best customer service transactions I have had in a long time. (No I do not work for them they are somewhere in oregon).
C) Bontrager Race X-Lites are not only Lite but are bomb proof. I am 6’3" 205lbs and swear I have hit every freakin pothole in Columbus Ohio. They are still as new.
D) Syntace C2 may be old, but they are by far some of most comfortable clip ons you can buy.
E) Continental Grand Prix 3000 are a very, very good road tire.
F) Although not for everyone the Fizik Arione saddle should be up there when looking for a new saddle
E) The shimano flight deck computer is top notch. No heart rate, but the integration feature are outstanding.
F) Pay to get professional fitted ( Maybe that should have been number one…oops)
G) Support your local bike shop even if their price may a little higher as long as they are very good at what they do.
H) Sidi Shoes are worth the money.
I could go on about some various training ideals I have learned also, but it could take hours. Again, thanks everyone for all of your insight and remember “Keep It Fun”!
