I’m doing a duathlon this weekend as the bicycle portion tag teamed with a guy who is a really good runner. We actually won the team event last year, more because of his running than my cycling, but that was incentive for us to go back again this year to defend our “championship”. Probabaly can’t repeat again this year but it should be good fun any ways.

Sprint triathlon at Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Base, Hawaii. Hope the sharks in the bay have all left after the state towed out the 45 ft long sperm whale last week! Little warmup for the Keauhou Half next weekend on the big island.
columbia (md.) tri---- Was ready to go, but came down with a nasty cold yesterday— going to give it my best shot. Peter Reid is racing it so I’m hoping to catch a glimpse of him going in opposite directions on the bike leg.

Yep, the Marines do a great job on that race (and only $27 entry fee!) and it can be great fun on the bike flying down the main runway heading towards the Koolau mountain range with a huge tradewinds tailwind. Always think of Tom Cruise on his motorcycle on the Miramar runway in that scene from Topgun.

District Team Time Trial. 4 man Masters team (28 miles). A whole lot faster than I could do it alone. Supposed to rain though.

Carlsbad Tri(socal) 1000m ocean swim, 16 mile bike on the coast highway, 5k run.
Yes! Finally, first tri of the year: Pine Barrens sprint in NJ. And, just in case Gilberto is reading, the run is mostly on pine barrens sand trail/two track. Ran it last (+20 extra pounds) and it was quite miserable, but, it is the only game in town. I found out about the Maryland race after it closed. :-o
just a mere 40k TT. hoping to crack 58 min though.
