Testimonials from Bike Shops

I began my triathlon days back in 1982 at the 1st Gulf Coast Triathlon riding a vintage 1970 Raleigh R-1.Over the years I have ridden many bikes(I’ll post a list after)and have learned over the time that yes the machine below you does help ie. the components work well(which mine did not in that 1st tri) and the bike is comfortable no matter what the material and make of the bike happens to be.I believe though that the number one most important thing in chosing the right bike for you is FIT. Because no matter how much money you spend on that eye candy,if it does not fit you will not perform to your potential. When athletes come to me for an opinion on what they should chose for a bike, being a bike shop owner its sometimes hard to not be biased so I try to carry as many lines of bikes as possible.I currently am riding a Kuota Kalibur,I’ve only had it a few weeks though I do like the carbon its comfortable. Its true that in this day of internet media there is alot of hype that does go along with this industry, just remember athletes your LBS(Local Bike Shop) is really there to just give you advice. Its your choice to decide.

Heres my list 1.Raleigh R-1 2.Trek2000(1982) 3.Colnago SLX 4.Bianchi TSX 5.Kestrel 200SCI 6.Kestrel KM40 7.Corima Fox 8. Cervelo P3(I’ve had several colors PS Gerard the yellow was faster lol) 9 Kuota Kalibur

I will testify, as I always have ad nauseum, that the right bike is the one that fits best.

That has always been my testimonial.

I believe I read a report from the IBTC which stated that the red/white P3 is fastest.

That is unequivocably true beyond any question. When traveling at a higher rate of speed than other bicycles, you cannot dispute it is the fastest.

Our virtual independant tests have proven this.

Furthermore, please recall that the new color, whatever it will be, is substantially faster as our empiracal, virtual real world testing will confirm, or, has confirmed in advance. Or something.

Anyway, we know for certain it always makes good things more and bad things less.

Yes, but the speed doesn’t even come lose to the performance benefits a chrome colored P3 could exhibit.
