Has anyone cycled or trained in Temuco, Chile? Hoping to go there in March. If you have been I would like to hear about it. I have cycled in South America plenty of times but it does vary considerably.

I felt safe running there as a teen, but didn’t do any cycling. Weather was nice. There was good running a little out of town, but that was 12 years ago.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, but how is it flying domestic in Chile with a bike. LAN airlines is pretty convoluted about bikes if they’re “oversized”.
I was looking to ride in the mountains near Santiago after doing another month working near the mines, and wanted to bring my bike this time.
it was 15 years ago but fantastic cycling east of temuco in villarica region
