Flying out to Phoenix this weekend and looking for some places to get around 5 hrs on the bike in anyone got any recommendations?

I did this ride a couple weeks ago. The map starts at a friends house. I would recommend that you start around mile 5 in cave creek. There are a number nice bars to end your ride at. The route takes you through some really nice neighborhoods. You then go down a 17 mile roller coaster. The depressing reality is you must climb 2000’ out of the valley. The first hill is like a 3 mile long boat ramp. There is now place to reload at the lake. You can reload your water at the ranger station at the top of the hill. It will take around 40 min to drive there from Tempe.

If you want a flatter ride the Az Ironman course is nice. I rode it on Saturday. There were several people out there.

The Tour De Scottsdale route is fun. You will see the expensive side of the valley with some nice hills. Nine mile hill is in the middle. The hard way is to take the course backwards.
The weather should be 50s in the morning and 70s late.
So is there a group riding the IMAZ course this friday or Saturday?

There are several group rides this weekend. I have riden with Phoenix Metro Bicycle Club on 2 occasions. They had 40 plus ridders that liked to ride in 26mph plus peleton. They leave from Kiwanias park in Tempe. Anyone can show sign a waiver and ride. This is a link to the different rides.
