I’ve been seeing a lot of Schwalbe Ultremo tires on road bikes lately, but don’t know anything about them. Anyone have any experience w/Schwalbe tires? Thanks.
Yup. I use them, I like 'em. They seem to roll faster and handle better that the Conti 4000S I had before. Cant quantify it, just how it feels to me. Hope this helps!
TT
excellent tires, feel smooth and are relatively flat resistant from my experience.
pretty light, too.
Two weeks ago i rolled a Blizzard clincher of my Zipp 404 rear wheel during a crash. I had never seen that before. I just replaced my Ultremo front after 2 years continous service, no problems.
Actually, you can quantify it. Or more specifically someone already has so you don’t have to bother. Very precise rolling resisitance data exists an easy internet search away. So what seems to be can be replaced with what is. Hope this helps. If it doesn’t pm me.
They are the biz for racing.
I think the best combo is Gatorskin Ultra for training and Ultremo for racing. Good puncture resistence with the GS and you will feel like a rocket when you race the ultremos.
How do they compare with the super reliable Conti GP4000s? I need to replace mine and I’ve been wondering about these tires.
