Has this feature been incorporated into any of the fancy new portable HD cameras yet? Shoot the video and it is waiting for you at home on email etc?
Not sure what you mean exactly, but many portable HD cameras now upload via WiFi, e.g. the GoPro. It’s not fully automatic since you still need to bring the camera within WiFi range and then start the upload process.
ok that helps. the camera would always be in proximity to a wifi connection. it will be at a pool/strength training facility…so just take the vid and press a button…starts the upload? nice! thanks.

Having said that there are plenty of wifi-equipped non-action cameras that are available…I think the ST brain-trust can be more helpful if you can be more specific with your needs.

You are right my bad was barely awake when I posted that this morning.
The camera will be used at various locations throughout a strength training/sports coaching facility for several different sports. All the video areas will be thoroughly covered by wifi at all times. Ideally the coaches would like to be able to bring a gopro on a session and be uploading it to their page/site while they go on to the next session. Someone during the day is editing and viewing these vids for consumption by the coaches/athletes at a later date either in person or via email/phone while viewing online.
