Team Disovery

not sure i follow you?

chance are better for contador than for levi… unless you really think alberto will fall apart in the TT, he just need to not give more than 1:53 on evans…

Levi as to ride 1 minutes faster than evans to pass him…that is more unlikely from what we seen in the first TT.

If you look at the first TT, Cadel was fastest of the day up the climb, so that race was his best possible course. COntador is also a climber that had a great TT that day, Levi just did so so for him. On the flats I think the advantage goes to Levi, and chances of him being off in both TT’s goes dwon now I believe. SO I do think that it will be tough to make the time up on Cadel, I also think both riders will take it to Contador on the flats…They have two days to recover, but after today Levi was stronger than both of them…Just an indication, and my prediction…

I’ll tell ya…with all of the craziness going on…another American victory might just be possible. That would be crazy and would piss off more than the French. It would be great for cycling in America. I think he as a legitimate shot but it is going to be close. Contador is going to be SUPER motivated. If he is clean, he has a huge career ahead of him. If the sport survives.

How does the team decide between Levi and Contador? Do you see them waiting for the TT result?

Fact is:

Discovery will not pull Contador…

They and their sponsors don’t care about Europe.

It would be funny if the Tour ends in Paris and only a handfull of freeloaders and american tourists show up…

Oh wait, that is already the case.

Nothing has changed for how the next two stages will be raced, just the teams… There is no way either Levi or Contador gets in a break, and certainly no sprint bonuses, so it will come down to the ITT. It will be every man for himself at that time, and nothing will be saved. Those last 3 to go will be exciting…

This really makes Contador’s flat nearing the summit that one day and Levi’s 10 second penalty look huge huh? I guess maybe Levi’s penalty was worth it as he may have lost more than 10 seconds had it not been for the pull from the team car, but Contador’s flat, I bet he’d like those 20 or so seconds back.

As Lance said, you really need luck on your side, all the more amazing he avoided any major mechanical failures or anything for seven straight years.

Contador a longshot…

I think he has better than average chances. I keep hearing a Phil Liggett quote in my head, “wearing the yellow jersey gives you extrodinary powers you thought you never had.” I believe going into the ITT Contador will pull out all the stops and barely hold on to yellow.

Yeah that would be huge. 8 victories out of 9 years for that team (even more if you consider that Floyd Landis learned how to “win” when on that team). And even more when you consider that it is one of the only teams without organized doping and that it is not a european team (we all know that those european guys are all dopers, right ?).

Levi winning the tour would be the best proof that the sport is coming clean !!!

It could be argued that Disco just have the best doctors ? If all the other teams and riders are doping and have been for so long how have they managed to win so many tours ? Just playing devils advocate

Hopefully you have seen the sarcasm in my post. But I bet from your answer you haven’t.

That post wasn’t a direct repply to you. But i did detect a slight hint of sacarsim
