I can’t find this stat anywhere.
What is the record for most days in yellow?
In the TdF wiki there is one sentence about Octavio something-or-other holding it from the first stage all the way through the race, but that is really old. Is that the record? What I’d like to see is a list of top ten or so of riders who held the yellow for the most days. Sorry for being such a prick, but I cant get google to work right, and I need to settle a bet involving a six pack and getting to see some 38D boobs.
Thanks.
You mean Ottavio Bottechia? Tour trivia time… If the wine ain’t messing with me mem’ry too badly, Greg L was riding a Bottechia when he won the famous Tour TT using them new-fangled aero-bar thingies to snatch the overall from Fignon in '89. Revolution, man…
Yeah I guess. Is that the record then?
I believe Eddy Merckx has the most days in yellow across all his tours if that’s what you were asking.
No, most days in yellow for a single tour. The top ten or so.
