Have any of you heard these 2 Aussie goofballs? They do a daily (almost) homemade podcast of the Tour. I didn’t know what it was when I subscribed, but I saw that there was a podcast covering the Tour, so I thought I would check it out. (You can find it on iTunes in the podcast section.)
At first, I almost shut it off because it so ridiculously bad. But after a few minutes, the immature blokes started to grow on me, and now I am hooked. They are quite hilarious. Some of the shows are just quick wrap-ups of the previous stage, while others are full “play by play” shows given off of the TV broadcast.
It takes a little while to understand their lingo. In addition to their Aussie-ness (“he’s in the hurt bag now”), they have funny and sometimes bizarre nicknames for the riders. For example:
The Sausage = Jan Ullrich
The Sausage version 2.0 = Kloden
The Flying Forehead = Vino
The Tongue = Moreau
Rodrigo Hernandez (or just plain Rod) = Lance (still can’t figure that one out)
Le Mullet = Brochard
The Crab = Mancebo (because he hangs his head sideways, I think)
etc.
They very dryly mock OLN’s adolation of LA and Disco.
