To all you ‘flat base bar is best’ believers, please note that more than half the TdF riders TT on bars with a solid drop. Why? Because the thing haddles better if the drops/hoods are lower (no goofy arm-bending). Same reason you descend and sprint on your drops on a road bike…

Most wear white shoes.

All wear full zip jersies. Why even make part-zip jersies?

Even w/ the UCI 5cm setback rule, these dudes manage to ride flat-backed and w/ nice angles. Even the worst TdF rider’s position looks better than 95% of the tri field. Yes, I know, the distances are shorter and they don’t have to run after.

I couldn’t spot many power meters out there (they’d have to be SRMs or Ergomos in the TT).
Where are the Trek/Bob Roll commercials? Is Trek giving anything away this year?
"1) " I don’t know, I saw an awful lot of flat base bars. Surely those guys aren’t idiots while the others have it right.
"2) " It is before Labor Day, so that should be fine.
“3)” Some people who aren’t professional riders, like half zip jerseys. Probably more money is made from the non pro group.
“4)” Are you suggesting professional athletes can do things the rest of us can’t? That’s preposterous.
“5)” I didn’t see many either, although I saw something that said Leipheimer lives and dies by his and has it setup on his new Madone.
