Maybe I didn’t watch enough coverage, but I was a little surprised when Oscar Pereiro Sio won the “Most Aggressive” rider award. He definately was at the head of a lot of the stages, but it seemed to me that Vino attacked more.
Anyone have any insight into the criteria?
Didn’t he finish in the top 3 on 3 ocassions in breakaways that made it all the way to the finish? That is a lot of time at the front.
Plus in terms of distance acheived Pereiro did far more. Shame though as emoptionally I would have given it to Vino especially for the last stage antics…
Pereiro was on the attack constantly, and a lot of them were successful, no other man was in so many breakaways. He is a true mad man.
