Just thought I’d mention for those of us who are endurance sport fans and have a drought of coverage, this weekend, CBC is covering the ITU Sprint World’s from Lausanne and the Vuelta will be on Sportsnet. Not sure when each one is on in your area because we have 4.5 time zones (how come the Newfies get a half time zone…do they get to pay half the taxes too?).
Warmup with some Week 2 Barclay’s Premier League action. Wow, this is almost as good as living in Europe for getting some coverage of some real sports!
I have the PVR ready for the ITU which is on CBC at 1pm on the west coast. The Vuelta is on at 8am and 3pm on Sportsnet 1 which I now have on PVR as well. Thanks DEV. Last taper for Ironman Canada was 11 years ago.
Well, I missed the Vuelta coverage as I was training (I’ve been tapering for 7 weeks so about time to start training)
Right now watching Chelsea playing West Brom…ST’s coverage was too good because as I hit the front page, I already got the ITU results for today! Looks like the CBC Coverage here in Ottawa is the same as Vancouver…4 pm EDT.
I did my first Ironman Canada 20 years ago in 1991…hard to believe
