Is there that much difference in ride quality and stiffness to warrant the extra 500-700$$$ in the price of the frame? The Talon fits well, but haven’t been able to ride the SL to see if I can feel a difference. I know the SL is lighter but I’m not all that concerned about .4lbs.
Same frame , frame geometry etc, I think the SL is like 3/4 of a pound lighter. I think a different weight or modulus of carbon fiber is used to cut the weight. Dont know what that does to the ride quality vs. the Talon. I got the Talon and think it is a fine bike. I do like the Natural carbon finish of the SL though. Not sure the extra 500-700 is worth it. Save the money on the SL and get the HEd Aero bar, or a new wheel.
I agree. As a Talon owner…it’s my workhorse sled, I’d say if you don’t mind the extra weight you can get one at a steal of a price. Use the savings to buy a Renn disc and a new saddle!
