Tailwind vs. Headwind

As earlier stated, use it as a great training tool. On one of my long rides home from work (93 Km) is was (un)fortunate enough to to have a 25 -30 km/hr headwind the whole way. I was woefully unprepared for this and learned a few hard lessons along the way (not enough fluids and fuel, how much to eat before, etc). I contemplated throwing my bike in the ditch and sticking a thumb out after 3 hrs and another 15 km to home. My half IM 2 months later was 2 - 40 km loops where I was able to go 32 Km/hr uphill with the wind and 22 downhill against it. I came off the bike in better shape than others.
