Tacx T1980 Bushido Trainer

Tacx T1980 Bushido Trainer
Anyone has any experience with or an opinion on?
thanks

DO a search for tacx, then do yourself a favor, buy a computrainer.

Or even a realaxiom, not all the bells and whistles but it is much cheaper.

Thanks
I will dig dipper:
There is 800$ difference between the computrainer and the tacx, plus there is no dealer for it where I live so not really an option…
I Never heard of the realaxiom, how much is it listed for? Do you use it?
Also the tacx is a wireless ergotrainer as opposed to the other two,

Realaxiom is made by elite and marketed by performancebike here in the US. I’m fully aware of what the bushido is.

Go and take a look at the tacx forums and see all the issues with their products. It really is ridiculous.

Thanks for your input.
I’m having a hard time finding the ridicules stuff you are talking about.
Can you explain more precisely what you mean? What forum are you referring to?
I don’t care so much about the VR software, I’m much more interested in a real-world “road” feeling to the ride, and having accurate reliable power measurements.

Granted… The Tacx Fortius had issues. I never owned one of these, but I used a I-Magic for many years. That was a pretty good device. I also used Elite InOut, and rollers… Good devices, but the Elite always feelt a bit “weak” in the build… I went back to Tacx, and I now use the Bushido… I think it is very good. I do not know about accuracy regarding wattage, but hoping to see a SRM comparison soon. Guess it’s a little off like the rest of the Tacx trainers. But really, what I want in a trainer is: easy to use, consistent readings, and roadlike feel… With it beeing completely wireless, a good capacity display and very solid build, the Bushido provides everthing I want in a trainer. Great to set up anywhere, in the garden, at races (warm up), in the livingroom, in the cellar… you name it… I really enjoy my Bushido, can safely recommend it… Also the new software it out soon i read, which connect it wireless to your computer… The Tacx software is the best, hands down… In my opinion… I’ve tried them all… Elite, Netathlon, CT…

The Bushido will be a vital device in my training for my very first Ironman… Norseman Extreme…

Unfortunately for us, “a little off” but plus or minus 40% is more than a little off.

The fortius have been upgraded… new motor brake. Just be aware to not get the older version…
And it really work well. I’ve been training on a tacx fortius… with the new software and honestly… it is an really really good advice.

Bushido seems really good to me.
