Does anyone use one of these tacx rear saddle hydration clamps (http://www.trisports.com/tasacl.html), specifically with two bottle holders mounted? I’ve read some of the reviews but none say anything about the durability or how they compare to others (x-lab, hydrotail, etc.). It seems like a good, cheap alternative. Any thoughts?
I used one for about three or four years without issue. I quit using it when I got a Cannondale Slice that has the integrated system.
I used one for a while and was pretty happy with it. However, when the road got bumpy, it would start bouncing up and down a little with full bottles. No matter how hard I tightened the bolt that controls the angle of the cages, the bottles would always end up really horizontal.
It wasn’t a huge deal but then I modded it like some other people have to bolt right onto my P2c aero post. Now the half I’m using works really well!
I do the same thing but use the bottom hole and yes it took some modification to get it to fit
