T1 Shoe Platform

Has anyone tried the T1 shoe platform bracket that holds your shoes level while running out of T1? It seems like one of those things that will either be ther greatest thing since sliced bread or a total gimmick, so I wanted to see if anyone else here has tried it first.

Seems a little gimmicky to me (I had not seen this product before) a couple of rubber bands does an ok job without putting more stuff on your bike.

So how would you run the rubber bands to hold the shoes and pedal horizontal?
