If I use a Syntace XXS for draft legal racing will I need to bridge the extensions?
Hmmm. Good question. I don’t know the answer.
The ITU rule says “Straight forward clip-ons must be bridged” The question is are they considered straight forward extensions.
The extensions can’t be longer than the most forward point of your brake levers (they use a board to measure this). So it depends on your specific drop bars whether the XXS bars will be OK. Bars with a flatter top section to the hoods can use longer extensions.
You will have to bridge them.
