I’ve just signed up for the 2k race on Canada Day, and the 3k race on July 30th. Any YVR locals want to join in the fun?
I’ll be doing the 2k.
AP
Sweet - how was your run?
Awesome, same distance as last week but 10min faster. Plus at the end: Hubby and Kate with salty vingared fries! How awesome is that!?!
Instead of a medal, they should hang a feed bag around your neck with that in it when you finish an IM - too awesome!
Now THAT’s what I call IM training support!
signed up for the 2k a while back although may jump to the 4 as I tweaked a hamstring today and may not be doing to much running or riding this week. Also split my wetsuit yesterday at Sasamat - all in all a poor weekend!!
You slut!
Andy/Khai
This is WAY far in the future but you guys got me thinking,
I have a week long conference in Victoria next June (10-14th) and I will probably tack an extra week before or after if there are some cool multisport things going in in the Vancouver area. Any big events during that time of year that would be worth catching? Open water swims or tri’s would be ideal - but I am up for anything. Same goes for my better half…
Thanks
BTW Khai - had a similar incident over a year ago and confronted the guy in a very diplomatic manner. He was a total a$$. It still bugs me sometimes and I wish that I had cracked his skull open instead of the peaceful turn the other cheek koombaya attitude that my personality dicates. My suggestion is to move on - don’t dwell on the jerk cause it will eat your insides. Alternatively you could stick a 6 inch steel pipe in the spokes of his front wheel the next you see him riding - now wouldn’t that be cathartic?
hell yeah baby, just like the tagline says…
pass but thanks for asking! LOL
will race yaletown crit instead come see me get shot out of the back on loop 1!
Why not ride out to the race (do SFU on the way) and then ride home - its only 2km! I did that one year told a buddy to sign me up for what ever race the group was doing. Got there to find I was in the 2km, at the start line I look around and notice non of the group were there instead they were racing the 1km! Bastards!
Anyway they got the butss kicked by some 12 year old AG girl!
Hey you get over to TomD’s place yet? I think I saw one of your post saying something to that effect. If so, how did it go?
Riding there/back sounds like fun, but then I’d have to put on a wetsuit all sweaty. I’d also have to get up hella early to make it. I’ll think about it…
Come on out to Richmond for a BBQ after your race. We’re breaking in a new Big Green Egg, and will likely be featuring pulled pork among other things.
Andy - bring the hubby & kid.
Hubby & kid will likely be at Sasamat cheering Ma on…
and I don’t dig on swine
How long are you planning to take to finish?
We’ll have other (non-pork) foods too, if you like…
Pulled pork now you are talking!!!
yeah - last week in fact. It was a very interesting visit - the P3 is now approaching comfortable - learnt a lot. Highly recommended
OK guys - as it is entitled Smackdown - what kind of money are we talking here???
Oh a few hours, I like to swim 70.3-assed for a while, stop for a margarita on the other side of the lake ;-)…
Nah, 40min prob.
I’ll suggest it to the hubby - it’d do him good to know that these “people I met over the Internet” are not complete freaks.
Careful AndyPants - Khai could just prove you wrong:) By the way anything above 30mins just proves you haven’t been putting in enough hours:)))
.
people I met over the Internet" are not complete freaks.
LOL!!! I know Khai and I have met Zulu but I cant vouch for their acting skills!
