Swimming Cape Cod July 4

I am in the cape for the night tonight. Where do you go for a swim either ocean or pond.

Where on the Cape? Wily’s gym in eastham has an indoor pool, but not sure if they are open on the 4th. Any of the beaches on the national seashore are good, but water is colder. Bay side is good at or near high tide. Lots of ponds also. Some alternate days with allowing power boats. I swim great pond in eastham occasionally. Go early. Weather may not be great on the 4th though. Great white sighting off nauset beach a few days ago.

Dude. Get up early tomorrow and go down Ocean St in Hyannis till the road bends at the beach at Kalmus Park Beach. Park there at the bend on the side of the road without going in the parking lot. Walk out on the beach into the water about 20-30 yards. Swim parallel to the beach and enjoy. +/- wet suit. You’re welcome

I like to swim parallel to the beach about 500 yards offshore at Nauset beach.

Directions can be found here: http://www.bostonmagazine.com/news/blog/2014/06/30/great-white-nauset-beach-cape-cod/

Long pond in Brewster is another location, or mayflower beach on the north side in Dennis, it’s a little rough in the sound maybe due to the hurricane coming
.

Check the great-white trackers before you hit the ocean!
