Swimming at Mohonk

I’m up at the Mohonk Mountain House (right where the Survival of the Shawangunk goes through) with my in-laws; planning on diving in the lake around 615 tomorrow morning. There’s lots of signs up declaring “no swimming” and “no swimming when beach is closed”, etc. Anyone have a sense for how strict this place is? I’d like to avoid the public embarrassment/humiliation of getting plucked out of the water in my frogman outfit.

Well, I’ll answer my own question and put in a plug for this place.
They have guarded swims width-wise across the lake in the morning and afternoon. The lake is about 700yds long but only about 150-200 wide. Still, the water is crystal clear and wasn’t at all cold.
Apart from the pricey rooms here, this place is perfect for STers with families. The whole place is super family oriented - kids menu, kids programs, babysitting. There is hiking out the door and plenty of gravel roads to take a baby stroller on or run on. I ran with our little guy today, then jumped in the lake for a cool-down open water swim. Double thumbs up, if anyone is reading.
