Thanks for all the advice. My first race (an XTERRA offroad at 7,000 ft altitude in Arizona), I was the only guy NOT wearing a wetsuit. Needless to say, I came out of the frigid water way, way back, and had to work hard to make it up on the bike.
Racing in Indiana now, I have seen wetsuits and topless swimmers, but not any guys with tops on in the swim that I can think of.
I think I’ll either go all topless, aesthetic challenges be damned, or try out one of the tops/suits you guys recommended.
