I ve been hearing there is a possible change in regulations by the usta, speed suits won’t be legal anymore?

I would actually prefer that… IF… they allowed sleeves over the shoulders. I’d like to have the shoulder and back coverage for racing next year and gain some aerodynamics… and be able to use that suit in non-wetsuit races… mainly Kona. I guess I’ll wait as late as possible to buy it. I assume rule change would occur before Jan.
Overall I’d like it as not having to buy a $200+ skin suit would be very nice. Although I wonder what swimming in a suit with sleeves would be like and if that increases or decreases drag or if you arm movement would be too restricted.
Agreed. Get rid of speedsuits and let people wear what they want whether it’s a regular tri suit or a sleeved tri suit
Yes USAT is reviewing this issue with possible changes applicable for next year. Exactly what do you mean by, “speed suits won’t be legal anymore”? Will speedsuits be legal next year? In some form, yes but maybe not the specific one you are currently using. If changes are made I am sure they will make the information available to the public.
