Swim recovery, just after bike or later?

After a long ride, if you plan a swim recovery,
do you suggest to do it right after the bike, while the muscle are still warm, or to wait 1 or two hours, so you have time to fuel, and some fatigue is gone, so you can swim with a better technique ?

I like to do some one hand drills and other drills in this work out. (so I’m not tempted to pass, and not anoyed to be passed :smiley: )
