The little dohickey (technical term) that expands the rear brake so you can take the wheel off the bike doesn’t work anymore. It happens on both my bikes, P2K, and roadie. Last year when I took the Cervelo in for the ‘free’ after purchase tune up the LBS mechanic said it was caused by sweat and replaced the entire brake caliper F.O.C. I was cleaing the bike yesterday and noticed that it was frozen again. I don’t want to have to replace the brake every year, what’s the best way to fix this?
Spray it out with a degreaser and see if that frees it up. It’s probably just gunk and maybe some rusting unless your sweat drips off the back of your ass when you ride.
