I just got mine in wednesday and the top tube is still long as hell.
Get a 54 the 56 would probably still be too big.

How tall are you that you got a 56? I am looking at a p3c as one of my options and was just wondering about the fit. I know it will vary from person to person but I was just wondering what sizes to start looking at.
Thanks
I’m 5’10.5" and the 54 is perfect.
6’0" and i’m on a 54. I will be slammed though which makes the headtube long for me no matter what since the stem will be sitting on the top tube.
I was comparing it to my 56 t-12 and the top tube is still longer on the 54 P3C. I would try to get pictures of me on it but it wont be built till after christmas. I just got a hell of a deal on the frame.

I will chip in here.
I am 6’ even riding 56. Next time I would get 54.
I had to push the seat a bit front (on the first hole) and bring the elbow pads closer to the seat to get compact. Now my elbows are about 1" or less from my knees but it took a lot of adjustment. Seat is 1cm behind BB.
Here is a link to my old position, now I am 2spacers lower and elbows at my knees.

So at 6’2" I should look at the 56 and 58.
56 most likely.

This worries me a bit. I ordered my new Dual through the semi-LBS (4 hours away but it’s the closest one) in 54 and I’m just under 5’9". I know, you don’t order a bike you haven’t been fitted on, but when you live in a remote area and your options are limited you do what you have to do (or you do without). When I was fitted for my road bike (Trek) they said that I needed a 52 for my inseam and a 54 for my reach. Since I wanted the bike to be comfy for the metric and regular centuries I frequently ride during the summer and wasn’t particularly concerned with being aero at that time they recommended going with the 54 and running the seat a little lower. They did say if the fit doesn’t work out on the Dual they can order me a 51 instead but that probably will depend on a 51 still being available for them to order in.
a dual is going to fit different then a p3c.
The short headtube, and the curved wheel faring make the sizing different.
Also if you aren’t slammed down you can get away with a smaller size because the fork will bring the stem/bars closer to you.

this is just specific to the p3c, right? I ask because I am getting a 54cm bike and I’m only 5’7".
Yeah the p3c sizing is a clusterF of epic proportion. Its not that its bad sizing compared to the rest of the P3c’s. Its that they aren’t anywhere near what other bike sizes are.
Its like when i worked at a hockey store. there would a 10 in one brand for skates would be a 12 or 13 in another it just drives you insane. But i’m good. Its sitting in my living room all nice and peacfully now ![]()

Nice. I can’t wait until my bike is sitting cozily in my living room!
Did you get the black/red or black/white if black/white hows does it look in person?
p3c specs aside, sizing issues like this exist for most things. Think of trying to buy shoes from different companies - you might be 9.5 for one and a 10 for another.
TC, I don’t remember what bike you ordered (tri geometry or road geometry), but a 54 might be a touch large for a tri frame. Road frame should be fine (generally speaking). I’m about your height, and I ride a 52 road and my tri frame size is 50 or 49, depending on company. I also have tiny legs, so that kills me.

Virtual sizing does not change…if you go by Cervelo’s virtual numbers you will find they are spot on.
road bike, Cannondale CAAD 8. I’ve tried it and a 54cm fits well.
sizing issues exist for everything, yes. CLOTHES come to mind!
Comparison isn’t that hard. To get the same pos as your T12 you need a 10mm shorter stem and 15mm more spacers (assuming same stem angle). If you had bought the 54 P3C you would require 10mm longer stem and 31mm more spacers.
The 56 P3C allows you to shift your weight a long way forward compared to the rebranded trigon frame.
Red/black i bought it from someone who won it and didn’t need two race bikes. Ended up saving me a bundle.

HAHA, will you buy it for me ![]()
I wish…going to stick out my trusty old Cannondale one more year then uprgade…maybe to your used P3C in a 54 this time next year?
I am actually uprgading some stuff on my Cannondale over the winter so next year all I need is the frame and can just pull everything over, it was too much to do frame and components this year.
